Welcome

As we journey through 1 Peter together, we want to equip you as households to have conversations with one another about the sermon series. Each week, there will be a blog post featuring a brief recap of the sermon passage for the week, and a few quick ideas for how your family can dive deeper into the passage together during the week.

Recap

1 Peter 5:6-11 by Lindsey

Peter’s letter to God’s people is getting close to its end. Have you ever felt like things in your life just didn’t make sense? Like things were going nowhere? Maybe bad things kept happening. Maybe you were struggling to do the right thing at school or at home or you had a really hard situation with your friends. God is with you. And he isn’t surprised by those things. In fact, the good news of the Gospel is that God is at work in these sad, bad, and hard things to make us more like Jesus, and because of Jesus, we can actually join God in this work, we can stand up against temptation and the devil, not because we are strong enough on our own, but because we never stand alone.
